The Perfect Designer Ladies Swimwear

It is that time of year again and we either love it or hate it. Personally, I am beginning to love it again. I am talking about ladies swimwear. There are so many different types available that it is often difficult to know what to choose.

Designer ladies swimwear can be a bit expensive, is made of luxurious fabrics and features elegant embellishments. Some suits are meant for lounging only so be sure you know if the suit you have your eye on is made for swimming. I have made that mistake before. I jumped in the pool in a white suit only to discover that it was completely transparent. Designers use the highest quality fabrics available, but prepared to pay for it. Pastels, bold colors or interesting patterns are just some of the fabrics that designers choose for their swimwear lines.

Most ladies fashion swimwear is very affordable and geared towards the average income, but remember, you get what you pay for. The cheaper the suit, the more inexpensive it was to manufacture. I once bought a bargain brand suit and it did not hold up. I was only able to wear it three times before it fell apart. Chlorine, salt and seawater are very hard on swimwear and I found out the hard way. If you take care of your swimwear, it will last for more than one season. I always rinse my swimwear as soon as I get out of the water.

The average size woman in the UK is now a size 14 and plus size ladies swimwear has grown in popularity. It is important to know what looks good and what will be the most flattering to your figure type. Find a few different styles and try them on. One piece, tankinis and skirt styles suit the plus size woman and feature padded cups and gathered details that will hold you in all the right places. Most designers now feature plus size swimwear in their inventory.

The bikini has been with us since the 1950s and those earlier styles are back in fashion. Bullet bras and boy shorts are all the rage again. A push up bikini will give you the added boost that your bust line needs, but if you plan to swim in your retro bikini find a push up bra that will not weigh you down in the water. Speaking for myself, not all of us are well endowed and a push up bikini is the perfect solution. The bikinis come in designer and fashion labels in every color and pattern imaginable.

Buying swimwear does not have to be scary. I like to go online, do an image search, and find the styles that I think will suit me best. It really takes the hassle out of shopping because I know what I want.
